Gary L. Corderman, AIF®

Gary L. Corderman is a Regional Director with Halbert Hargrove in Long Beach. Gary has 15 years' experience in advising individual and corporate clients on financial strategies. Prior to joining Halbert Hargrove in 1998, he held the position of Western Regional Retirement/ Pension Plan Manager for Lord Abbett Mutual Funds. His duties included advising corporations and individuals about investment and retirement plan issues and design, as well as instructing brokers and account executives at major brokerage firms about the firm's plan offerings.
Gary has worked extensively with institutional consulting and marketing teams, most recently with Watson Wyatt in Los Angeles as a consultant to corporate retirement plans. While at Watson Wyatt, he specialized in vendor search projects, designing, collecting and analyzing requests for proposals, information and investment data, and assimilating and producing meaningful results for clients.
From 1987 to 1994, he worked in the Southeastern U.S. with Fidelity Investments and Variable Annuity Life Insurance Company, where his responsibilities included working with retirement plan sponsors in designing and implementing participant communications and investment seminars.
Gary earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Management from Miami University and an M.B.A. from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University. Prior to receiving his B.S., he spent seven years with the U.S. Marine Corps.
Gary was awarded the ACCREDITED INVESTMENT FIDUCIARY™ designation by the University of Pittsburgh-affiliated Center for Fiduciary Studies.
