Why I Love My Job

I enjoy finance and HH has a great employee culture and set of values that make me feel at home. Our culture tends to attract great clients, whom I truly enjoy serving. While we are not a fit for all, we do tend to attract people who share certain values and work well with us.

Brian M. Spinelli Family

Brian joined Halbert Hargrove in 2006. His responsibilities encompass running the firm’s investment team and overseeing investment processes – as well as advising individuals and institutions on their investment and wealth advisory needs. He serves as a lead resource in supporting HH advisors and their clients in providing investment solutions and insights into capital markets, and frequently represents the firm’s perspective in the media.

Brian was named to HH’s management team in 2012 and officially took on the responsibilities of Co-Chief Investment Officer in 2022. He has spearheaded HH’s research into alternative investments, including structuring clients’ access as these nontraditional exposures continue to evolve. His colleagues call him organized, highly disciplined, and fearless in critical conversations with clients and colleagues. Brian values “leading the firm’s clients and helping them feel understood, supported and confident in their plans and in the work we do for them.”

He was awarded the ACCREDITED INVESTMENT FIDUCIARY™ designation by the University of Pittsburgh-affiliated Center for Fiduciary Studies and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional.

Fun Fact

I love being out in nature.  If you offered me a chance to hike, camp, fish or do archery, I would be there in a moment’s notice.  My parents used to refer to me as “nature boy” when I was a kid and it hasn’t gone away.
