I realized early on that HH offers a work environment that I want to be a part of. My colleagues encourage me to work harder. My job allows me to think outside of the box and work closely with a great team.
Curtis supports Halbert Hargrove’s advisor teams in all matters operational and technological. The point, he emphasizes, is to continue to improve system efficiencies and keep all technical systems in sync to serve clients. His workday might include trading, making updates to trading software, responding to his colleagues with technical help, and coordinating with them to implement desired changes to client portfolios.
Curtis officially joined our Long Beach office in October 2020. Prior to that, he’d worked with us as a Finance Intern for over a year while pursuing his undergraduate studies. We quickly realized he’d be an asset to our firm, valuing his reliability, push-to-excel attitude, and appetite to grow in his profession. “Here at HH I’m surrounded by great people who support me and push me to reach outside my comfort zone to learn new things,” Curtis says. “I have had a passion for the field of finance since a very young age—being able to help people prepare for their future and understand how important that is.”
While a student at California State University Long Beach, Curtis participated in several other internships, in equity analysis, finance, and investment banking. He was awarded a B.S. in Finance with a minor in Economics from CSULB in 2020.
Outside of work, Curtis enjoys watching sports, playing tennis, working out, and hanging out with friends.
The house I grew up in was used in the filming of the movie Disturbia.
