Because of the way we work as a team. We are an extremely cohesive and collaborative unit and take pride in achieving successes as a team. We just want to continue seeing goals being met and/or exceeded and for everyone to play a part in that.
Sahil joined our Long Beach office in 2019. His operations responsibilities include data analysis, trading, and a host of other projects and operational tasks—all focused on keeping Halbert Hargrove running smoothly. Sahil values our collaborative approach to achieving excellence: “We have a close-knit team and we raise each other up in creating solutions. My role challenges me to think critically every day.”
Sahil also appreciates the fact that continual learning is fundamental to our firm’s culture. “I have learned more here than I have at any other company. Feeling constantly challenged keeps me engaged.”
Before joining us, Sahil built experience as a financial planner and client services advisor. His most recent position was with Stash Wealth, a start-up targeting millennial investors. Sahil created financial plans and educated clients about investing and achieving their financial goals. Prior to that, as a Client Service Associate with Berman Capital Advisors and as a Private Bank Associate with J.P. Morgan Private Clients, Sahil worked as part of a team in advising on and servicing wealthy clients’ accounts. He began his career as a High Net Worth Specialist with Charles Schwab.
Sahil earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Arizona State University’s W.P. Carey School of Business. While at ASU, he spent three months volunteering in southern India, teaching students about preventing HIV/AIDS and how to get treatment. He is currently working on achieving the CFA certification—and has passed the Level I milestone of this demanding curriculum.
An unrepentant extrovert, Sahil nonetheless appreciates getting away from it all. He and a friend take a yearly trip to backpack remote trails and “live in undisturbed nature with no cell signal or civilization for miles. We get to challenge ourselves on some extremely difficult hikes.” Thus far, Sahil has backpacked in Hawaii, Colorado, and Utah; next up: Peru and Argentina.
When I was a child, I really wanted to be a garbage truck driver. I thought those trucks were so cool!
