There are many reasons, but my favorite is that we’re committed to helping make our clients’ lives better. I get to interact with every HH associate on a regular basis, and I get to take their feedback and turn it into tangible changes within the firm that impact both them and our clients for the better. Our firm is constantly evolving. I love seeing associates grow and develop their skillsets— and to share in their success. It’s a great feeling!
As Director of Investment Operations, Cecilia manages Halbert Hargrove’s relationships with our institutional trading partners. Her role requires a deep understanding of clients’ needs as well as HH’s internal operations; her oversight includes trading, implementation, and relationship management—specifically, fostering an environment of exemplary client service. In addition, as Chief Compliance Officer, Cecilia is responsible for oversight of HH’s compliance strategies firm wide.
Cecilia was named to Halbert Hargrove’s management team in 2012. She says she values “working in an environment that’s constantly evolving—at HH we’re always striving to make ourselves better—which means new challenges every day, and opportunities to improve yourself and expand your role.” In 2015, Cecilia created and implemented HH’s Mentoring program, which pairs employees with seasoned Directors, who support them in attaining their personal and professional goals. She joined HH as an operations specialist in 2006.
Cecilia earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration – Finance/Real Estate/Law cum laude from California State University at Long Beach in 2006 and her MBA from the University of Southern California Marshall School of Business in 2013. She was awarded the ACCREDITED INVESTMENT FIDUCIARY™ designation by the University of Pittsburgh-affiliated Center for Fiduciary Studies and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional.
Married to Brandon, Cecilia is a mom to Jacob, and proud owner of miniature Aussie Ari, Cecilia is perpetually engaged in learning and trying new things. You’ll find her taking classes in just about any subject – boxing, cooking, painting, clay shooting, sewing, and all types of exercise classes.
I’m deathly afraid of heights, but I never pass up on a challenge. Urged by fellow associates Tyler Gilley and Tim Kohler, we bungee jumped off the Bridge to Nowhere in the San Gabriel Mountains. It was eye opening, exhilarating & fun, but I will never do it again!
