Why I Love My Job

I get to play an important part in helping our clients reach their financial goals.

Johnny R. Esparza Family

As an operations analyst, John carries out a wide variety of tasks; his primary focus is implementing trades and other trading-related functions. John excels at paying attention to detail and, as he says “treating each client’s account with the same care, respect, and precision – as if they were my own personal account.”

He joined our Long Beach team in 2022 after eight years of service with the United States Army. For John, the culture at HH is a big motivator: “knowing that every individual who works here wants success for themselves, the firm, and most importantly, our clients. I enjoy knowing that everyone here has an open door and is willing to talk or help at any time it’s needed.”

In his role as an Intelligence Analyst with the Army, John analyzed data, created detailed intelligence reports and presentations, and briefed leadership. He was also responsible for assessing and managing risk to protect assets, property, and equipment. The recipient of multiple service awards for outstanding performance and professionalism, John spent four years in active service, including two separate six month long deployments in Niger, and four years with the National Guard.

He has also worked for one year as a background investigator for CACI International Inc., the multinational professional services and information technology company.

John earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Intelligence and Information Operations from the University of Arizona in May 2022. He also holds certifications as an Intelligence Analyst and as a Background Investigator.

John and his wife were high school sweethearts; they share a chocolate Labrador named Mandy. On Monday nights, you’ll find him bowling – he loves bowling! – in a Las Vegas league with his childhood best friends.

Fun Fact

I once drove over four hours for Del Taco – I was living in North Carolina and the closest one was in South Carolina.
